Ernestine Anderson is an American jazz and blues singer who has been performing for over 60 years. She was born in Houston, Texas, in 1928 and began her career singing in nightclubs in Seattle, Washington.
Her standout albums include her 1981 album, Hello Like Before, which featured jazz standards and earned her a Grammy nomination. Her other notable albums include The Exciting Ernestine Anderson (1957), Hot Cargo (1966), and Never Make Your Move Too Soon (1979).
Some of her most popular songs include “Never Make Your Move Too Soon,” “You Send Me,” “Blue and Sentimental,” and “My Foolish Heart.”
