Earl Sweatshirt is an American rapper, songwriter, and producer. He is a member of the Los Angeles-based hip hop collective Odd Future and is known for his dark, witty and sometimes controversial lyrics. Sweatshirt released his debut mixtape, Earl, in 2010 when he was just 16 years old. The mixtape received widespread critical acclaim, and catapulted Sweatshirt into the hip hop spotlight.

In 2013, Sweatshirt released his debut studio album Doris. The album was critically acclaimed, and featured contributions from Odd Future members Tyler, the Creator and Frank Ocean. It included the singles "Chum", "Hive" and "Whoa", which all received critical acclaim.

In 2015, Sweatshirt released his second studio album, I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside. The album received positive reviews from critics and spawned the singles "Grief", "Off Top" and "Faucet".

In 2018, Sweatshirt released his third studio album Some Rap Songs. The album received widespread acclaim from critics and included the singles "Nowhere2go", "The Mint" and "Loose".

An interesting fact about Earl Sweatshirt is that he was home schooled and taught himself how to rap and produce music.
