Duran Duran is a British new wave and synthpop band formed in Birmingham in 1978. The band has achieved immense success over the past four decades, selling over 100 million records worldwide. Their most successful albums include Rio (1982), Seven and the Ragged Tiger (1983) and Notorious (1986).

Some of their most popular songs include "Rio", "Hungry Like the Wolf", "The Reflex", "A View to a Kill" and "Ordinary World".

An interesting fact about Duran Duran is that the band members have all been knighted by Queen Elizabeth II. Simon Le Bon was knighted in 2003, and Nick Rhodes, Roger Taylor, and John Taylor were knighted in 2018.
