Deacon Blue Vinyl Records

Deacon Blue is a Scottish pop rock band formed in Glasgow in 1985. The band consists of singer/songwriter Ricky Ross, keyboardist James Prime, drummer Dougie Vipond, bassist Ewen Vernal, and guitarist Graeme Kelling. The band rose to fame in the late 1980s and early 1990s with their album Raintown, which was released in 1987. The album produced the hit single "Dignity", which reached number 4 in the UK Singles Chart.

The band released their second album, When the World Knows Your Name, in 1989. The album was an even bigger success than their first, spawning the hits "Real Gone Kid" and "Fergus Sings the Blues". The album also reached the top 10 in the UK Albums Chart.

Deacon Blue's 1993 album, Whatever You Say, Say Nothing, was a commercial success, reaching number 2 in the UK Albums Chart and selling over 1 million copies. The album spawned the hit singles "Your Swaying Arms" and "Your Town".

Deacon Blue's most successful album was 1997's Walking Back Home, which reached number 1 in the UK Albums Chart. The album spawned the hits "Bigger Than Dynamite" and "I Was Right and You Were Wrong".

An interesting fact about Deacon Blue is that they were the first band to ever perform in the newly built Scottish National Arena in Glasgow.
