In 1983, Hartman released his third and final album, I Can Dream About You, which featured the title track and "We Are the Young," both of which were Top 40 hits.

One interesting fact about Dan Hartman is that he wrote the theme song for the television show WKRP in Cincinnati. The song, titled "WKRP in Cincinnati," was released in 1978 and became a Top 40 hit.
