Cocteau Twins

The Cocteau Twins were an English dream-pop band that formed in Grangemouth, Scotland in 1979. They were founded by vocalist Elizabeth Fraser, guitarist Robin Guthrie and bassist Will Heggie. The band gained international attention for their ethereal sound, which blended elements of post-punk, new wave, and experimental rock.

The Cocteau Twins released a total of nine studio albums throughout their career, all of which were met with critical acclaim. Standout albums include 1984's Treasure, 1986's Victorialand, and 1991's Heaven or Las Vegas. Their most well-known songs include "Lorelei," "Pearly-Dewdrops' Drops," "Cherry-Coloured Funk," and "Heaven or Las Vegas."

An interesting fact about the Cocteau Twins is that they were the first British act to be signed to the influential American independent label 4AD.
