Bruce Springsteen is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer from New Jersey. He is widely known as “The Boss” and is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, having sold more than 135 million records worldwide. He has received numerous awards, including 20 Grammy Awards, two Golden Globes, and an Academy Award.

Springsteen’s first two albums, Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ (1973) and The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle (1973) were both critically acclaimed. His third album, Born to Run (1975) was a huge success, spawning several hit singles, including the title track and “Thunder Road.” Other notable albums include Darkness on the Edge of Town (1978), The River (1980), Born in the U.S.A. (1984), and Tunnel of Love (1987).

Springsteen’s best-known songs include “Born to Run,” “Dancing in the Dark,” “Thunder Road,” “Born in the U.S.A.,” “Glory Days,” “Streets of Philadelphia,” and “The Rising.”

An interesting fact about Bruce Springsteen is that he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999 and received a Kennedy Center Honor in 2009.
