Bright Eyes Vinyl Records

Bright Eyes is an indie folk rock band from Omaha, Nebraska, founded in 1995 by singer, songwriter and guitarist Conor Oberst. The group consists of Oberst, multi-instrumentalist Mike Mogis, bassist Nate Walcott, and a rotating lineup of collaborators drawn primarily from Omaha's indie music scene.

Bright Eyes' most successful albums have been I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning (2005) and Digital Ash in a Digital Urn (2005). Both albums featured the band's signature sound, which is a combination of electronic and acoustic instrumentation, with Oberst's nasally, emotive vocals. Standout songs from these albums include “Lua”, “First Day of My Life”, and “Take It Easy (Love Nothing)”.

An interesting fact about Bright Eyes is that they were the first band to perform on the Late Show with David Letterman, when the show first moved to CBS in 1993.
