Brian May is an English musician, singer, songwriter and astrophysicist, best known as the lead guitarist of the rock band Queen. May wrote many of Queen's most popular songs, including "We Will Rock You", "Fat Bottomed Girls" and "Crazy Little Thing Called Love". He is considered one of the greatest guitarists in rock music history.

May's career with Queen began in 1970 when he, lead singer Freddie Mercury, and drummer Roger Taylor formed the band. They released their debut album, Queen, in 1973, which featured the hit single "Keep Yourself Alive". This was followed by the 1974 album Queen II, which included the classic hit "Seven Seas of Rhye". Queen's 1975 album, A Night at the Opera, featured the classic singles "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "You're My Best Friend". In the years that followed, Queen released a string of successful albums, including News of the World (1977), Jazz (1978), The Game (1980), and Flash Gordon (1980).

Queen's greatest hits album, Greatest Hits, was released in 1981 and featured the singles "Under Pressure", "Another One Bites the Dust" and "We Are the Champions". The band went on to release albums like Hot Space (1982), The Works (1984), and Innuendo (1991).
