Boom Bap
Boom Bap is a hip-hop style of production that originated in the mid-1980s. It is characterized by its heavy use of sampled breakbeats, often from soul and funk records, and its emphasis on drum breaks. The style was developed by DJs and producers in the Bronx, New York and has since spread throughout the world. Boom Bap is a driving force behind much of hip-hop's development and is often cited as the "golden era" of hip-hop.
