Bon Iver Vinyl Records

Bon Iver is an American indie folk band founded in 2007 by singer-songwriter Justin Vernon. Vernon is the band's primary songwriter, producer, and vocalist. After spending several years in a cabin in Wisconsin, Vernon released the critically acclaimed debut album For Emma, Forever Ago in 2007. The album was recorded almost entirely alone by Vernon and featured a sparse, folk sound.

The band's breakthrough came in 2011 with the release of their self-titled second album, Bon Iver. The album was a critical and commercial success, earning the group two Grammy Awards for Best New Artist and Best Alternative Music Album. The lead single, "Holocene," was named Song of the Year by Rolling Stone magazine and received a nomination for Record of the Year at the 54th Grammy Awards.

Bon Iver's third album, 22, A Million, was released in 2016 and featured a more experimental, electronic sound. The album was nominated for Best Alternative Music Album at the 59th Grammy Awards.

An interesting fact about Bon Iver is that the name of the band is actually derived from a combination of French words meaning "good winter." The name was chosen to reflect the Wisconsin winter during which Vernon wrote and recorded For Emma, Forever Ago.
