Bloc Party Vinyl Records

Bloc Party is an English indie rock band formed in 1999 in London, England. The original lineup consisted of lead singer and guitarist Kele Okereke, guitarist Russell Lissack, bassist Gordon Moakes, and drummer Matt Tong. Bloc Party released their debut album, Silent Alarm, in 2005. The album was a critical and commercial success, reaching number three on the UK Albums Chart and number one in the UK Indie Chart.

The band's breakthrough album, A Weekend in the City, was released in 2007 and reached number two in the UK Albums Chart. It spawned the hit singles "The Prayer" and "I Still Remember", both of which were top-20 hits in the UK. Bloc Party's third album, Intimacy, was released in 2008. It was their first album to be released exclusively as a digital download and reached number eight on the UK Albums Chart.

Bloc Party's fourth studio album, Four, was released in 2012 and reached number three on the UK Albums Chart. It was followed by Hymns, their fifth album, which was released in 2016.

Bloc Party's most notable songs include "Banquet", "Helicopter", "Pioneers", "Flux", "One Month Off", and "Kettling".

An interesting fact about Bloc Party is that lead singer Kele Okereke has gone on to pursue a successful solo career in addition to his work with the band. He has released three solo albums to date.
