Billy Field is an Australian singer-songwriter who achieved success in the late 1970s and early 1980s. His first album, Bad Habits, was released in 1979 and achieved gold status in Australia. It included his breakout single, "True Love", which was a top ten hit in both Australia and the United States. His second album, Big Time, was released in 1981 and featured his biggest hit, "You Weren't In Love With Me".

Field's third album, Best of Billy Field, was released in 1984 and featured a mix of new material and previously released singles. Field's fourth album, The Best of Billy Field Volume Two, was released in 1986 and included two top forty singles in Australia, "Last Plane Out" and "She's A Mystery".

Field's most successful single in the United States was "You Weren't In Love With Me", which peaked at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100.
