Andrew Gold (born Andrew Maurice Gold; August 2, 1951 – June 3, 2011) was an American multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He had a successful solo career and was also part of the groups Wax, Bryndle, and musically collaborated with Art Garfunkel, Graham Gouldman, Graham Nash, J.D. Souther, and Linda Ronstadt.

Gold's most successful solo albums were What's Wrong with This Picture? (1976), All This and Heaven Too (1978) and Whirlwind (1980). His most successful single was the 1977 hit "Lonely Boy", which peaked at number 7 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and at number 2 in Canada. Other popular songs include "Thank You for Being a Friend" (1978), "Never Let Her Slip Away" (1978), "The Things We Do For Love" (1976), and "The Old Songs" (1981).

Gold is also known for his work on the soundtrack for the 1978 film Animal House. He wrote the music for the film's theme song, "Shout".

An interesting fact about Andrew Gold is that he was the son of the Academy Award-winning composer Ernest Gold. He was also the nephew of the Academy Award-winning composer and conductor Franz Waxman.
