Al Di Meola Vinyl Records

Al Di Meola is an American jazz fusion and Latin jazz guitarist, composer, and record producer of Italian descent. He is a prolific composer and recording artist. Since the 1970s, Di Meola has released more than 20 albums as a solo artist, and has been a member of the groups Return to Forever, the Guitar Trio, and the Rite of Strings.

Di Meola's most popular albums include Land of the Midnight Sun (1976), Elegant Gypsy (1977), Casino (1978), Splendido Hotel (1980), Electric Rendezvous (1982), and Cielo e Terra (1985). His most successful singles include "Race with Devil on Spanish Highway," "Egyptian Danza," and "Fantasia Suite for Two Guitars."

Di Meola is known for his technical command of the guitar and his blend of jazz, world music, and other genres. He is also noted for his fast and intricate finger-style playing, which has earned him the nickname "The Electric Assassin."

An interesting fact about Al Di Meola is that he was part of the first ever all-electric guitar trio, which included Paco de Lucia and John McLaughlin. The trio recorded a live album in Tokyo, Japan in 1996.
