Swervedriver are an English alternative rock band from Oxford, founded in 1989 by members Adam Franklin and Jimmy Hartridge. "Mezcal Head" is their second album and was originally released in 1993. The album contains their most successful single "Duel", which was awarded as Single Of The Week by the NME. The album proved to be one of the hottest albums of 1993."Mezcal Head" landed at number 265 in Spins "300 Best Albums Of The Past 30 Years (1985- 2014)". Alternative Press also ranked 39th on their "90 Greatest Albums Of The 90s" and 90th on their "Top 99 Albums Of 5 To 5". Pitchfork voted the album number 10 on their list of the Top 50 Sheogaze albums 2016. Finally, for the first time since its first release in 1993, "Mezcal Head" is back on European soil.
