Tropical Fuck Storm

Tropical Fuck Storm is an Australian punk rock band formed in Melbourne in 2017. The band is comprised of Gareth Liddiard and Fiona Kitschin from The Drones, Lauren Hammel from High Tension, Erica Dunn from Major Leagues, and Lauren Bonici from Palms. The band's music is characterized by a chaotic, DIY punk aesthetic, and their sound has been described as "an abrasive, intense and often misanthropic combination of punk, noise, and psychedelia".

The band has released two studio albums to date: A Laughing Death in Meatspace (2018) and Braindrops (2020). A Laughing Death in Meatspace was widely acclaimed and earned the band an ARIA Award nomination for Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Album. The album's standout songs include "You Let My Tyres Down", "Soft Power" and "Chameleon Paint". Braindrops was equally praised, with the lead single "The Planet of Straw Men" receiving particularly positive reviews.

An interesting fact about Tropical Fuck Storm is that they often write and record their music in unconventional locations. For example, the band recorded their first album in a shed near a rural beach in Australia.
