Tom Rush

Tom Rush is an American folk musician, songwriter and performer who rose to fame in the late 1960s and 1970s. He began his career in the early 1960s in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he formed a local folk scene with artists such as Joan Baez, Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell. Rush released his first album, Tom Rush, in 1962. He is known for his unique mix of blues, folk and country, and his cover of “No Regrets” is one of his most well-known songs.

Throughout his career, Rush has released over 20 albums, many of which have been critically acclaimed. His standout albums include Take a Little Walk with Me (1970), Tom Rush (1973) and Wrong End of the Rainbow (1975). He has also released several live albums, such as Live at The Boston Tea Party (1969) and Live at The Boarding House (1973).

One interesting fact about Tom Rush is that he was the first artist to record James Taylor's song, “Fire and Rain”. Rush’s version was released in 1970, two years before Taylor’s own version was released.
