The Cure Vinyl Records

The Cure is an English rock band formed in 1976 by vocalist and guitarist Robert Smith, and bassist Michael Dempsey. The group's debut album, Three Imaginary Boys, was released in 1979 and featured the hit single "Killing an Arab." Since then, the band has gone on to release 13 studio albums, earning critical acclaim and global success with their blend of dark, gothic rock, post-punk, and new wave styles.

The Cure's breakout album came in 1982 with the release of Pornography. The album was a dark exploration of existential themes and was a critical success, becoming the first Cure album to reach the Top 10 in the UK. The Cure achieved global success with their 1987 album Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me, which featured hit singles "Just Like Heaven," "Why Can't I Be You," and "Catch."

The band's best-selling album came in 1989 with the release of Disintegration. The album featured the hits "Lovesong," "Pictures of You," and "Fascination Street," and is considered one of the greatest albums of all time. The Cure's most recent studio album was 2008's 4:13 Dream, which spawned the singles "The Only One" and "The Perfect Boy."

An interesting fact about The Cure is that the band has been nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, in 2013 and 2017.
