Split Enz is a popular New Zealand rock band that was formed in 1972. The band achieved success in their native country and went on to become an international success in the 1980s. They are best known for their hit singles “I Got You” and “Six Months in a Leaky Boat”.

Split Enz’s most successful albums are True Colours (1980), Waiata (1981) and Time and Tide (1982). Their standout songs include “I Got You”, “History Never Repeats”, “Message to My Girl”, and “One Step Ahead”.

An interesting fact about Split Enz is that the band has gone through multiple lineup changes throughout their career, with founding members Neil Finn and Phil Judd leaving in 1984 and 1985 respectively. The band reunited in 2014 and released their first album in over 20 years, entitled “Frenzy”.
