Guided By Voices

Guided By Voices (GBV) is an American indie rock band founded in 1983 in Dayton, Ohio by Robert Pollard, along with members Tobin Sprout, Mitch Mitchell, and Greg Demos. Throughout the 1990s, the band released a prolific number of albums, mostly on the independent label, Matador Records.

Some of their most notable albums include Bee Thousand (1994), Alien Lanes (1995), Mag Earwhig! (1997), and Isolation Drills (2001). These albums featured some of GBV's most iconic songs, such as "I Am a Scientist," "Tractor Rape Chain," and "Game of Pricks."

An interesting fact about GBV is that Robert Pollard has released over 20 solo albums, as well as several albums with his other musical projects, such as Circus Devils and Boston Spaceships.
