Géza Anda Vinyl Records

Géza Anda (1921-1976) was a Hungarian pianist, conductor, and teacher. He was considered one of the most important pianists of the 20th century, and is often associated with his interpretations of the works of Mozart, Beethoven, and Brahms. He was a pupil of the renowned pianist and teacher Edwin Fischer, and later became a professor of piano at the University of Zurich.

Anda's most notable recordings include his interpretations of Mozart's Piano Concertos Nos. 17 and 20, Beethoven's Piano Concertos Nos. 3 and 4, and Brahms' Piano Concertos Nos. 1 and 2. He also recorded works by Chopin, Debussy, Ravel, and Schumann.

One interesting fact about Géza Anda is that he was the first pianist to perform the complete cycle of Beethoven's 32 piano sonatas in a single concert. This historic performance took place in 1952 in Berlin.
