Brownsville Station

Brownsville Station is an American rock band that formed in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1970. The original lineup consisted of Mike Lutz (vocals and guitar), Cub Koda (vocals and guitar), Tony Driggins (bass) and Henry Weck (drums). They are best known for their 1973 hit single "Smokin' In The Boys Room", which reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Their debut album, Yeah!, was released in 1973 and featured their hit single. Other notable songs from the album include "Let Your Yeah Be Yeah" and "The Martian Boogie". The band's follow-up album, School Punks, was released in 1975 and featured the singles "Kings of the Party" and "Papa Was a Rolling Stone".

The band's most successful album was their third release, Yeah! In the U.S.A., which was released in 1977 and featured the hit single "I'm the Leader of the Gang (I Am!)". Other standout songs from the album include "Mister Moonlight" and "Gonna Rock Tonite".

An interesting fact about Brownsville Station is that they are credited with inventing the term "Rock 'n' Roll McDonald's", which was later used as the title of a song by Iggy Pop.
