The long awaited third album by Solange

In the USA, "A Seat At The Table", the new album by Solange Knowles, was already released in September 2016, where it landed at number one in the charts. Now the long awaited third longplayer is finally available in Germany.

In fact, their fans had to be a little patient when it came to the release of new music by Solange. Their last EP "True" was four years ago, their last album "Sol-Angel And The Hadley St. Dreams" even six.

For this the soul singer now announces herself with no less than 21 tracks back. And they show that she is in no way inferior to her older sister Beyoncé.

As for the music on "A Seat At The Table", the album oscillates somewhere between funk, psychedelic and neo soul as well as R'n'B. In all directions Solange's flawless voice turns out to be just right. The first two releases "Cranes In The Sky" and "Don't Touch My Hair" already show this.

Solange also receives musical support on her new album. Among others, the British electro singer-songwriter Sampha, the rappers Lil' Wayne and Q-Tip and R'n'B star Kelly Rowland are among the guests.

It took some time, but in 2016 she is finally back: Solange Knowles presents her powerful-voiced and multi-faceted new album "A Seat At The Table".
"In the sovereignty with which she interweaves 'white' and 'black' traditions, she once again brings to light the utopian beauty of music that has become boundless [Rolling Stone, December 2016]

"Elegant music, hearty message: Solange shines with floating R'n'B and socio-political awareness." [music express, 30.09.2016]
