Earthless – Sonic Prayer

Earthless are a band from San Diego. They play 20-30 minute, loud, epic songs. Producing a bombastic stew of druggie bass drone, pulsating rhythmic sex beats, and brain piercing acid flashback guitar leads. Earthless draw influences from bands such as the Groundhogs, the Heads, Amon Duul2, Black Sabbath, Hawkwind and Jimi Hendrix's more freaked out instrumentals.

Originally released on Gravity Records, the Earthless debut "Sonic Prayer" won the San Diego Music Awards 2007 Best Hard Rock Album award. The mostly instrumental trio, comprised of former Hot Snakes and Rocket from the Crypt drummer Mario Rubalcaba, bassist Mike Eginton, and guitarist Isaiah Mitchell, received critical acclaim for "Sonic Prayer", a record Allmusic exclaimed " when it comes to stoner rock, these guys have a niche all their own and this record is one of the best of the genre".
