  • Not too long ago, the latest signing to Side One Dummy was known only to the hard core of the American DIY scene. After a handful of vinyl singles and EPs on smaller indie labels, however, the constant touring schedule of the four guys from Kingston, Pennsylvania (USA) gradually paid off, initially taking the band to small clubs and basements across the US. So if you think of newcomers when you hear the word "debut album", you couldn't be more wrong

Title Fight have taken seven years for their first longplayer, which will be released on May 28th. The sound of the 12 songs on "Shed" breathes the air of pop-punk and midwest emo of earlier Saves The Day, but combines that influence with the catchy singalongs and melodic hardcore riffs of Kid Dynamite or Hot Water Music

Producer and Gorilla Biscuits / Quicksand mastermind Walter Schreifels was recruited for the job at the controls. On the one hand, he was responsible for the final touches to the album, but on the other hand, he was already enthusiastic about the quality of the 12 hits on "Shed" and immediately agreed, "because Title Fight play the punk rock of Lifetime in the guise of today"

With manager Missy Worth another person acts as an advisor and mentor, who already made the original sympathizers of Rise Against one of the biggest and best punk bands of our time

With the Hot Water Music-esque "27" or the oldschool feeling of "You Can't Say Kingston Doesn't Love You", the band also impressively proves that they are not only one of the best live bands, but also one of the most versatile representatives of their genre but also among the most versatile representatives of their genre. In 2011, Title Fight will not take a break and will play every show that comes their way

That means, besides extensive headlining and support shows in the U.S., most importantly, hitting the local clubs. No question that you should not miss this under any circumstances!
