Not too long ago, the latest signing to Side One Dummy was known only to the hard core of the American DIY scene. After a handful of vinyl singles and EPs on smaller indie labels, however, the constant touring schedule of the four guys from Kingston, Pennsylvania (USA) gradually paid off, initially taking the band to small clubs and basements across the US. The sound of the 12 songs on "Shed" breathes the air of pop-punk and midwest emo of earlier Saves The Day, but combines that influence with the catchy singalongs and melodic hardcore riffs of Kid Dynamite or Hot Water MusicProducer and Gorilla Biscuits / Quicksand mastermind Walter Schreifels was recruited for the job at the controls.
