  • After Kings Of Convenience only released their new, fourth album "Peace Or Love" in June 2021, thus reporting back from a twelve-year hiatus, fans of the Norwegian indie folk duo, consisting of Eirik Glambek Bøe and Erlend Øye, can also look forward to two special reissues at the end of the year: "Quiet Is The New Loud", the debut album, and the follow-up "Riot On An Empty Street" will once again be released on vinyl.

"Quiet Is The New Loud" was originally released on January 29, 2001. The twelve song album was recorded by the band with Coldplay producer Ken Nelson, two years after their formation. It features the singles "Winning A Battle, Losing The War" and "Toxic Girl." "Quiet Is The New Loud" was awarded silver in the UK and gold in their native Norway, where it also hit number one on the charts. It even gave her name to a small movement of musicians in the pop underground (including acoustic contemporaries like Turin Brakes).
