Their second album, "MIRAGE", raised their profile and the album cover attracted the unwanted attention of the US branch of Camel cigarettes, who demanded that the band change the cover or face legal action. The record company in the US quickly designed a new cover to avoid legal trouble. The original sleeve remained unchanged in the rest of the world, as Geoff Jukes had already made a deal with the European branch of the cigarette company to release tiny packs of cigarettes (5 cigarettes per pack) using the Camel artwork, including track listing
The managers in Europe were so excited that they visited the band in the studio and tried to persuade CAMEL to rename the songs to 'MIRAGE' (e.g. "Twenty To The Pack"). They also wanted CAMEL to dress up their amps with camel skins, allow advertising, and give away cigarettes at all gigs. The latter was successful, as Jukes had negotiated a deal that the band was never privy to. The band became "belligerent" and a sarcastically amused Peter Bardens suggested an album song title "Twenty Sticks Of Cancer".
