Alina Ibragimova, Johann Sebastian Bach, Arcangelo, Jonathan Cohen – Violin Concertos

Following the success of the first 10 albums in Hyperion’s Vinyl Edition (released in September 2024 and March 2025), six further LPs are announced today. All the albums are new to vinyl and feature globally touring artists with whom the label has enjoyed close, long-standing associations. Each of the six titles will be released as limited-edition 180gsm LPs, presented in full-colour gatefolds and including sleeve notes.

Alina Ibragimova’s recording of the solo Bach Violin Concertos with Jonathan Cohen and Arcangelo won universal critical praise on its CD release, with Gramophone welcoming ‘an outstanding and distinctive addition to a catalogue bursting at the seams’, and Classic FM praising Ibragimova for ‘playing of the highest order’.

Performing music from Baroque to new commissions on both modern and period instruments, Alina Ibragimova has established a reputation for versatility and the ‘immediacy and honesty’ (The Guardian) of her performances. Alina has performed with orchestras including the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks and the London Philharmonic and conductors Sir John Eliot Gardner and Jakub Hrůša, among others.
