Guy Massey describes "Script Of The Bridge" as an influential album for his career. Forty years after its original release, "Script Of The Bridge" still proves to be one of the rarest of records. An album that, despite the relentless passage of time, has lost none of its ability to continue to awe and amaze die-hard fans and enchant new listeners around the world for many years to come.
The Chameleons' seminal debut album "Script of the Bridge" has been restored and remastered for vinyl at Abbey Road Studios in London.
The package includes two heavyweight (180g) vinyl discs along with a free digital download code. The restoration project was carried out by production team Guy Massey and Steve Rooke, who won a Grammy Award for their work on the Beatles Box Set. Guy Massey describes Script of the Bridge as an influential album for his career. This is the first time that Script of the Bridge is available as a "double album". By splitting the tracks across two 12" disks, the sound quality is greatly enhanced without the compression that marred the original Chameleons vinyl. Using the original studio tapes, the production duo have carefully restored the album song by song to create what the band believe is the truest reflection of how the recordings were intended.
