Nigel Olsson is an English rock and pop drummer, singer and songwriter who has been a part of the Elton John Band since 1970. He has played drums on many of Elton John's classic hits, such as “Rocket Man”, “Bennie and the Jets” and “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”.

Olsson has released several solo albums, including Nigel Olsson (1977), Changing Tides (1981), and Unlucky in Love (1984). Some of his standout songs include “Dancin’ Shoes”, “Dancin’ in the Street”, “The Fox”, and “Say Goodbye to Hollywood”.

An interesting fact about Nigel Olsson is that he was born on the same day as his bandmate Elton John (March 25, 1947). They have shared the same birthday ever since.
