Hardstyle

Hardstyle is a style of electronic dance music that emerged in the early 2000s in the Netherlands. It is characterized by a heavy bassline, distorted kicks and synth lines, as well as a distinctive, aggressive sound. Hardstyle has roots in the hardcore and gabber genres of electronic music, but differs from them in its production values and its slower tempo (generally around 140-150 BPM). Hardstyle has seen a surge in popularity in recent years, with many of its artists achieving mainstream success.
