The John Butler Trio – Home (2xLP)

"Home" is the name of the John Butler Trio's new album, now their seventh. Fans of the band from Australia had to wait four years for the new album, the successor to "Flesh & Blood". The time has finally come in 2018. In contrast to its predecessors, "Home" can be considered a solo work to a certain extent. John Butler recorded the album with his long-time friend and producer Jan Skubiszewski. The title gives it away: it is a very personal and intimate album. Musically, Butler has taken his signature sound between traditional folk and blues rock a step further. The first single release, the title track "Home", has become unusually dark and edgy and shows Butler's preference for electronic sounds.
