Grace Jones created something truly spectacular on Island Records in the early 80s: Starting with "Warm Leatherette" and ending with "Living My Life", all three albums she recorded in Nassau in the Bahamas between 1980 and 1982 became absolute milestones.
Right in the middle: Nightclubbing, the best of the best and without question the album that finally made her a legend - a sophisticated melange of different sounds, brilliant A&R work, in short: a prime example of a perfect, harmonious collaboration between artist and band. Nightclubbing is one of the absolute highlights of the early 80s.
In a career of countless highlights, Nightclubbing remains the pinnacle of Grace Jones' imperial years at Island Records. It is undeniably the album on which her musical legacy rests and is rightly regarded as one of the best albums of all time. It contains all-time classics such as 'Pull Up To The Bumper', 'Walking In The Rain' and of course the Bowie / Iggy Pop penned title track. The album will be released for the first time on vinyl with reduced artwork, as limited edition gold vinyl.
