Coleman Hawkins Vinyl Records

Coleman Hawkins (1904-1969) was an American jazz tenor saxophonist. He was one of the earliest and most influential jazz saxophonists, and is sometimes referred to as the "Father of the Jazz Tenor Saxophone". He was the first important soloist on the instrument, and a major influence on later generations of jazz saxophonists.

Hawkins' most famous and influential recordings include "Body and Soul" (1939), "The Bean" (1945), and "Picasso" (1946). He also recorded a number of classic standards, including "Stardust", "St. Louis Blues", and "My Funny Valentine". He was one of the few jazz musicians to record in the bebop style, and his later recordings were highly influential in the development of the cool jazz and hard bop styles.

An interesting fact about Coleman Hawkins is that he was the first jazz musician to record a solo on a saxophone, in 1923. He was also the first African-American to perform on an international stage, in 1929.
