Bob Marley & The Wailers were a Jamaican reggae band formed in Kingston, Jamaica in 1963. The original lineup included Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer, Junior Braithwaite, Beverley Kelso, and Cherry Smith. The group was most active between the years 1972 and 1981 and released some of the most iconic reggae albums and songs of all time.

The group's standout albums include Catch a Fire (1972), Burnin' (1973), Natty Dread (1974), Exodus (1977), Kaya (1978), and Uprising (1980). Some of their most popular songs include "Get Up Stand Up," "I Shot the Sheriff," "No Woman No Cry," "Could You Be Loved," "Waiting in Vain," and "Redemption Song."

An interesting fact about Bob Marley & The Wailers is that the band was the first Jamaican reggae group to achieve international stardom. They also became known for their unique fusion of reggae, ska, and rocksteady, which helped to popularize reggae music around the world.
