Tindersticks – Tindersticks (2xLP)

The British band TINDERSTICKS came together in 1991 and was quickly known for their orchestral sound and the characteristic baritone voice of singer Stuart A. Staples. At its core, the band combines the dark romance of LEONARD COHEN, IAN CURTIS or SCOTT WALKER with the songwriting skills of LEE HAZLEWOOD and the aesthetics of indie rock. This is particularly evident on their first couple of albums; such as, Tinderstick (II) ", their second groundbreaking album.
