The Stooges hadn't been heard since '73's \"Raw Power\", and the sound of kamikaze Iggy dodging eggs and glasses thrown by the Hell's Angels between new songs gave him a new audience in the fledgling punk scene. It defined Iggy as a punk veteran, sold over 100,000 copies and became the Stooges' best-selling album. The re-release as an expanded two-CD set with two complete shows has now been reduced to the exact original cut of the album that shocked and inspired so many. During the 2007 remastering from the original tapes, an error was found in the original tape speed - now the album can be heard at the correct pitch for the first time!
