Recorded in the early 1970s and released in 1976, it captured Jonathan Richman’s singular writing at the moment when garage-rock simplicity met art-school intelligence. With its nervy momentum, deadpan humour and melodic immediacy, the album made songs like Roadrunner and Pablo Picasso feel both eccentric and inevitable. Widely regarded as a key influence on generations of underground bands, it remains one of the most important debuts in rock history.

Artist: The Modern Lovers

Label: Beserkley – L 36650

Format: LP, Album

Units: 1

Country: Australia

Released: 1977

Genre:
          Punk & Alternative

Style:

            Art Rock,

            Indie Rock

A1 Roadrunner
A2 Astral Plane
A3 Old World
A4 Pablo Picasso
B1 She Cracked
B2 Hospital
B3 Someone I Care About
B4 Girl Friend
B5 Modern World

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1474/5258/files/Ny03NTk0LmpwZWc_006fcb45-533e-4730-9206-e28b86c8b30d.jpg?v=1791507620
