Even the cover of the new Black Keys record promises an electrifying album. The same goes for the title: Here's Let's Rock.
The blues rock duo, consisting of Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney, wrote twelve new songs for it and recorded them live in the Easy Eye Sound Studio in Nashville. They also took care of the production.
The Black Keys themselves described "Let's Rock" in advance as a "homage to the electric guitar". The first two singles "Lo/Hi" and "Eagle Birds" prove just how true this is.
The Black Keys are doing what they do best in 2019: rousing rock without ifs and buts. "Let's Rock" is the motto.
"The six-time Grammy winners offer an infectious powerpop brew including borrowings from psychedelic, 60's beat, blues and funk." (Stereo, September 2019)
