Released in 1986, the album finds the band turning dense rhythms and jagged textures into something more immediate without losing their strange, intelligent edge. Songs such as Black Light Trap, The Shining Path and Running on the Rocks show how the group could balance danceable momentum with unsettling atmosphere and political bite. It stands as one of the stronger documents of their mid-1980s period, when adventurous alternative music was increasingly crossing into wider pop territory.

Artist: Shriekback

Label: Festival Records, Island Records – L 38648

Format: LP, Album

Units: 1

Country: Australia

Released: 1986

Genre:
          Punk & Alternative

Style:

            Dub,

            Funk,

            Synth-Pop

A1 Black Light Trap
A2 Gunning For The Buddha
A3 Running On The Rocks
A4 The Shining Path
A5 Pretty Little Things
B1 Underwaterboys
B2 Exquisite
B3 The Reptiles And I
B4 Sticky Jazz
B5 Cradle Song

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1474/5258/files/OC05NzE4LmpwZWc_4124ca41-0ba5-42fd-abe2-742f22aaed1d.jpg?v=1790838881
