Released in 1975, the album blends silky jazz phrasing with R&B grooves and a laid-back West Coast feel, giving Laws a distinctive sound that helped define smooth jazz before the term fully took hold. The record’s standout “Always There” became his best-known song and a jazz-funk favourite, while the rest of the album shows the confidence of a young artist already shaping a clear, commercial yet musically assured identity. It remains one of the key titles in 1970s crossover jazz.

Artist: Ronnie Laws, Pressure

Label: Blue Note – BN-LA452-G

Format: LP, Album

Units: 1

Country: Australia

Released: 1975

Genre:
          Soul & Funk

Style:

            Jazz-Funk

A1 Always There
A2 Momma
A3 Never Be The Same
A4 Tell Me Something Good
B1 Nothing To Lose
B2 Tidal Wave
B3 Why Do You Laugh At Me
B4 Mis' Mary'S Place
