"A Woman A Man Walked By" is the second album that Polly Harvey and John Parish wrote and recorded together. The album is at times quiet, dark, elegant and poetic, and possessed of a brutal power. It's obvious what drives their musical partnership and makes for their special chemistry: that they both bring different talents and qualities to the creative process that they would willy-nilly have to forgo if they went it alone. They simply complement each other perfectly.
The second joint album of PJ Harvey and John Parish - "A Woman A Man Walked By" - now comes as a reissue on vinyl.
It highlights the different talents of the two artists: inside, which complement each other impressively on this album. Through PJ Harvey's poetic lyrics and John Parish's gripping compositions, "A Woman A Man Walked By" creates an elegant, sinister mood that captivates listeners: inside with tranquil tones.
Produced by Harvey and Parish themselves and originally released in March 2009, the album also includes the grunge-pop anthem "Black Hearted Love." The reissue is faithful to the original with vinyl cutting by Jason Mitchell of Loud Mastering, supervised by John Parish.
The reissue is released as a 1LP on 180g black vinyl with a color gatefold cover with printed inner sleeve. A download code for the album is also included.
