Issued in 1987 as their first release, this mini-album distilled their early sound into a lean burst of jagged guitars, sudden dynamic shifts and Frank Black’s surreal, often unsettling imagery. Recorded from sessions that captured the band’s rawest instincts, it helped define the quiet-loud formula and off-kilter songcraft that would shape indie rock in the years ahead. Songs such as Caribou and Vamos show how the band fused punk bite with pop instinct, creating a debut that still sounds bracingly out of step with its time.

Artist: Pixies

Label: 4AD – MAD 709

Format: LP, Mini-Album

Units: 1

Country: UK

Released: 1987

Genre:
          Pop & Rock

Style:

            Alternative Rock,

            Indie Rock

A1 Caribou
A2 Vamos
A3 Isla De Encanta
A4 Ed Is Dead
B5 The Holiday Song
B6 Nimrod'S Son
B7 I'Ve Been Tired
B8 Levitate Me
