Issued in 1980, the album brought together two generations of players and set Metheny’s singing guitar voice against a rhythm team rooted in deep improvisational conversation. The result moves easily between post-bop drive and more open, contemporary jazz textures, with long-form interplay giving the music its character. Widely regarded as one of Metheny’s key early recordings, it shows his writing and tone developing in the company of master improvisers who help make every piece feel alive and unscripted.

Artist: Charlie Haden, Pat Metheny, Michael Brecker, Jack DeJohnette, Dewey Redman

Label: ECM Records – ECM 1180/81

Format: LP, Album, Stereo

Units: 2

Country: Germany

Released: 1980

Genre:
          Jazz

Style:

            Contemporary Jazz,

            Post Bop

Two Folk Songs
B1 80/81
B2 The Bat
B3 Turnaround
C1 Open
C2 Pretty Scattered
D1 Every Day (I Thank You)
D2 Goin' Ahead

https://www.dutchvinyl.com.au/products/pat-metheny-charlie-haden-jack-dejohnette-dewey-redman-michael-brecker-8081-383779
