Released in 1971, it followed the success of Climbing! and found Leslie West, Felix Pappalardi, Corky Laing and Steve Knight leaning into thick guitar riffs, hard-driving rhythms and Southern-leaning grit. The album is best known for ‘Mississippi Queen’, the breakout track that became Mountain’s signature song and a hard-rock standard.
