Was brought  Joe    Harley    (from     Music      Matters), a.k.a. the \"Tone Poet,\"  on    board to    curate and     supervise a      series of reissues  from the    Blue Note    family of  labels.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eIn 1985, the miraculous French pianist Michel Petrucciani signed with a newly relaunched Blue Note Records and recorded his label debut \u003cem\u003ePianism\u003c\/em\u003e, an album that underscored the arrival a distinctive new talent. His second Blue Note release, \u003cem\u003ePower Of Three\u003c\/em\u003e, presented Petrucciani in a duo with guitarist Jim Hall and a trio that added saxophonist Wayne Shorter. Recorded live at the 1986 Montreux Jazz Festival, the album captured a magical evening of music-making by three virtuosos. The five-song LP features the trio on a trio of originals — Shorter's \"Limbo,\" Petrucciani's \"Morning Blues,\" and Hall's \"Bimini\" — while the duo is heard on Hall's \"Careful\" and a stunning version of Ellington's \"In A Sentimental Mood.\"\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eThis stereo Tone Poet Vinyl Edition was produced by Joe Harley, mastered by Kevin Gray (Cohearent Audio) from the original analog master tapes, pressed on 180-gram vinyl at Record Technology Inc.
