After two albums in nine months between October 1981 and July 1982, Three of a Perfect Pair is the final part of the trilogy that began with Discipline and Beat.Originally released in April 1984, the band's pointed minimalism on the title track through the driving Sleepless and closing track Larks' Tongues in Aspic III, the only reference to the '70s King Crimson band, and their incomparable blend of rock, electronic, funk and pure pop songs secured their status as one of the most interesting and innovative bands of the decade. With the simultaneous release of Three of a Perfect Pair and Beat, all King Crimson studio albums from the 1969-1984 period are now available on vinyl for the first time since the late '80s. The high-quality 200 gram pressings were cut from a master approved by Robert Fripp.
