Released in 1988, it pushed the band further from indie rock towards the acid-house crossover that would later be called Madchester, with Stephen Street’s production sharpening the grooves without sanding off the chaos. The record’s slurred humour, relentless rhythms and ragged charisma made it a key bridge between post-punk attitude and club culture. Songs such as Wrote For Luck became emblematic of the era, and the album is widely regarded as one of the essential releases in the band’s rise.

Artist: Happy Mondays

Label: Factory, Festival Records – L 30418

Format: LP, Album, Reissue

Units: 1

Country: Australia

Released: 1990

Genre:
          Punk & Alternative

Style:

            Indie Rock

A1 Country Song
A2 Moving In With
A3 Mad Cyril
A4 Fat Lady Wrestlers
A5 Performance
B1 Country Song
B2 Moving In With
B3 Mad Cyril
B4 Fat Lady Wrestlers
B5 Performance

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1474/5258/files/NC00ODg3LmpwZWc_2954fb09-5f31-472b-9edd-3d47b2c535a1.jpg?v=1792183124
