Released in 1978, the album includes ‘Promises’, ‘Tulsa Time’ and ‘Watch Out for Lucy’, songs that helped define this more relaxed phase of his career. Its appeal lies in the balance between Clapton’s guitar tone, his conversational vocal style and a strong set of melodic hooks, giving the record a smooth professionalism without losing the feel of a working band. As part of his run of successful 1970s albums, Backless remains an accessible snapshot of Clapton’s mainstream peak.

Artist: Eric Clapton

Label: RSO – 2394 213

Format: LP, Album

Units: 1

Country: Australia

Released: 1978

Genre:
          Pop & Rock

Style:

            Blues Rock,

            Classic Rock

A1 Walk Out In The Rain
A2 Watch Out For Lucy
A3 I'Ll Make Love To You Anytime
A4 Roll It
A5 Tell Me That You Love Me
B1 If I Don'T Be There By Morning
B2 Early In The Morning
B3 Promises
B4 Golden Ring
B5 Tulsa Time
